This week, I joined Andrew Steele on his podcast 9/11 Free Fall, which focuses on the work of Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth, to discuss how the government agency tasked with investigating the collapse of World Trade Center Building 7 (WTC 7) on September 11, 2001, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), produced a report that is nothing less than scientific fraud.
We also discussed the role of the media in manufacturing consent for harmful government policies, from the illegal war of aggression against Iraq to public vaccine policy and the authoritarian “lockdown” responses to COVID-19. We agreed on the need for people to move beyond the narrow framework of “left vs. right”, set aside partisan politics, and instead weigh matters in terms of what’s reasonable versus unreasonable.
I discussed how I got started doing independent journalism and the various topics I’ve covered over the years. I also explained why I see an opportunity for independent researchers and writers to challenge the dominance of the mainstream media and their business model. The increasing efforts at censorship and faux “fact-checking” we have been witnessing are in part a means by which the major corporate media maintain their influential dominance over the nature of the public discourse on critically important issues.
To that end, I’ve created a writing coaching program for citizen journalists to share what I’ve learned over the years and how to more effectively communicate their ideas and make their voices heard.
