John Kerry’s Colin Powell Moment

"The American intelligence community has high confidence, high confidence. This is common sense. This is evidence. These are facts." Facts, I tell you!

Aug 30, 2013 | 1 comment

“Our intelligence community has carefully reviewed and re-reviewed information regarding this attack. And I will tell you it has done so more than mindful of the Iraq experience. We will not repeat that moment.”John Kerry, August 30, 2013

“The material I will present to you comes from a variety of sources. Some are U.S. sources. And some are those of other countries. Some of the sources are technical, such as intercepted telephone conversations and photos taken by satellites. Other sources are people who have risked their lives to let the world know what Saddam Hussein is really up to. I cannot tell you everything that we know.”Colin L. Powell, February 5, 2003

“Accordingly, we have taken unprecedented steps to declassify and make facts available to people who can judge for themselves. But still, in order to protect sources and methods, some of what we know will only be released to members of Congress, the representatives of the American people. That means that some things we do know, we can’t talk about publicly. “ — John Kerry, August 30, 2013

“My colleagues, every statement I make today is backed up by sources, solid sources. These are not assertions. What we’re giving you are facts and conclusions based on solid intelligence.” — Colin L. Powell, February 5, 2003

“In all of these things that I have listed, in all of these things that we know — all of them — the American intelligence community has high confidence, high confidence. This is common sense. This is evidence. These are facts.”  — John Kerry, August 30, 2013

If the evidence is so great let me see it! Why should it be classified if it is so solid and it isn’t related to US national security? I can’t think of any reason other than for the war hawks to sell another war to the scaredy pants/unwarrantedly concerned citizens of this country.
