I recently had a very enjoyable conversation with Icelander Arnar Þór on his podcast about how the centralization of power threatens humanity.

We are supposed to believe that we live in a “democratic” society with a “free press”, but the reality is that the media tend to serve the propaganda function of manufacturing consent for criminal government policies and authoritarianism.

This is preventing human society from becoming truly civilized, and what is needed is a radical decentralization of power.

Interview Summary

Topics we discussed include the following:

  • How Iceland is considering joining EU
  • Trump’s designs on Greenland
  • How I got started doing independent journalism after asking a serious question about 9/11 and getting an unserious answer from the US government.
  • How Americans support criminal government policies because of their belief in what I call “the state religion” (a phrase I’ve borrowed from Noam Chomsky in a 1977 lecture titled “Intellectuals and the State”).
  • How “public health” policies in the US systematically violate the right to informed consent.
  • How the COVID-19 lockdowns with their coerced mass vaccination endgame caused more harm than good.
  • How even in supposedly “democratic” Western societies with a “free press”, the media fulfill the propaganda function of manufacturing consent for criminal government policies (another phrase I often use that’s borrowed from Noam Chomsky and Edward Herman’s book Manufacturing Consent: The Political Economy of the Mass Media; they were in turn borrowing from Walter Lippmann’s 1922 book Public Opinion).
  • How central banking exists to effectively enslave us by financing government debt through an effective wealth transfer upward from the masses to the politically connected financial elites.
  • Why the government school system deliberately fails to educate about how the monetary system works and instead indoctrinates children into the state religion.
  • How Iceland publicly funds only officially approved candidates.
  • How government funding of scientific research perverts science and corrupts the medical establishment.
  • How individual rights are superseded by statist collectivism.
  • Why politicians who pretend to know better than we do are precisely the worst members of society.
  • How it is possible for people to de-indoctrinate themselves, but most are resistant to the truth.
  • Why people are resistant to the truth and how to get through to them.
  • How the COVID-19 lockdowns awakened many to the threat of medical tyranny and the complete untrustworthiness of the so-called “public health” establishment.
  • Why we all have a moral duty to challenge government tyranny and do our part to create a better future for humanity.
  • How to overcome the challenge of people suffering from cognitive dissonance.
  • How we face a growing threat of ever greater centralization of power.
  • How Thomas Jefferson and Alexander Hamilton’s adversarial political views represented, respectively, the struggle between individual rights and authoritarian central government.
  • How under the US Constitution, the federal government was supposed to be subservient to the sovereign states, but today it’s the opposite.
  • The role of Abraham Lincoln in effectively destroying the US Constitution.
  • Why there is no purer manifestation of the democratic principle than a free market economy.
  • Why government vaccine recommendations are inherently anti-science.
  • Why it’s a logical impossibility for government central planners to organize the economy better than we could do without them.
  • Why the problem isn’t corporate “capture” or influence on government but the existence of an all-powerful central government in the first place.
  • How, for example, the problem in health care isn’t the free market but its absence; e.g., the legal immunity government provides to vaccine manufacturers while shifting the financial burden for vaccine injuries onto the taxpaying consumers.
  • How the military industrial complex is another great example, in addition to Big Pharma, of the problem of crony capitalism—not a free market economy.
  • Why decentralization of power in favor of local decision-making is absolutely essential for humankind to achieve a civilized society.
  • Why I don’t think Trump is playing “5D chess” in Iran and why, instead, I think he arrogantly stumbled into a situation he now desperately wants out of—while trying desperately to save face.
  • How Trump’s mercantilist economic policies harm most Americans while benefiting a very few—and why even the crony capitalists are harming themselves in the long run.
  • Why the threat of totalitarian government is very real, especially given how those in power want to use AI to surveil and control the population.
