Interview: Mainstream Media Misinformation about RFK Jr. and Vaccines

In this interview, I discuss how the mainstream media spread misinformation about presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and vaccines.

I had the pleasure of speaking to Wayne Rohde on his podcast Right on Point about how the mainstream media have demonstrated extreme prejudice against presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.

If you want to stay updated with information about the US government’s Vaccine Injury Compensation Program or its counterpart for COVID‑19 vaccines, Wayne’s Substack is an essential resource.

An example is a CNN article by Jake Tapper accusing Kennedy of spreading “misinformation” about vaccines in his 2005 article “Deadly Immunity”, which was jointly published by Salon and Rolling Stone and retracted by Salon in 2011.

I wrote a rebuttal to Tapper’s article titled “The Mainstream Media’s Reign of Error: Correcting the Record about RFK Jr.’s ‘Deadly Immunity’”, which Wayne and I discuss at length.

Our discussion also draws on information I provided in my freely available e-book The New York Times vs. Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.: How the Mainstream Media Spread Vaccine Misinformation.

In introducing me to his audience, Wayne paid me this extraordinary compliment: “Mr. Hammond is probably one of the most brilliant independent researchers that I know of—and I’m very sincere about that—unraveling the Covid virus, the government’s response, and health outcomes.”

Topics we covered include:

  • How Tapper’s article attacking RFK Jr fails to address the main points presented in “Deadly Immunity”;
  • How Tapper obfuscates and deflects from the fact that the CDC’s routine childhood vaccine schedule during the 1990s was exposing infants to cumulative levels of mercury in excess of the government’s own safety guidelines;
  • How Rolling Stone did not retract “Deadly Immunity” but accurately observed that the early corrections made by Salon’s editors did not materially affect Kennedy’s thesis;
  • How the Salon editors did not dispute that the CDC’s schedule was exposing children to alarmingly high levels of a known neurotoxin;
  • How the editors did not dispute that an initial analysis done by CDC epidemiologist Thomas Verstraeten found a statistically significant association between mercury-containing vaccines and neurodevelopment disorders, including autism;
  • How the editors did not dispute that the CDC held a secret meeting to discuss what to do about the persistent finding of an association between mercury-containing vaccines and neurodevelopmental disorders, during which the concern was raised about the potential for legal liability for exposing infants to damagingly high amounts of mercury;
  • How the only attempt Tapper makes to substantiate his accusation that Kennedy spread “misinformation” is itself misinformative since it takes a statement of Kennedy’s completely out of its context;
  • How the CDC brazenly lies about what the science says in order to conceal its own responsibility for recklessly exposing infants to dangerously high levels of mercury;
  • How the mainstream media serve to completely whitewash this history by propagating the CDC’s own false propaganda narrative that the withdrawal of mercury from most childhood vaccines was done simply out of “an abundance of caution”;
  • How the impact of my own independent journalism has suffered because of censorship, including the transparent penalization of my website in Google’s search results.
  • How factually accurate information about vaccines that contradicts official disinformation from the government is being euphemistically branded as “misinformation”, to the extent that simply advocating the right to informed consent will get you flagged as a spreader of “misinformation”.
  • How the government has otherwise been waging a war on our right to informed consent by trying to eliminate parents’ ability to exercise their right to make their own choices about childhood vaccines; and then, if parents are still able to find a doctor willing to help them to exercise their rights, penalizing the ethical doctors.

On that final point, you will find no better resource than my book The War on Informed Consent: The Persecution of Dr. Paul Thomas by the Oregon Medical Board. This book not only tells the story of how a heroic pediatrician has stood up to the corrupt medical establishment but also provides all the historical context and medical literature needed to understand why so many parents today are choosing to reject the CDC’s vaccines recommendations.

The War on Informed Consent

The book features a Foreword by Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., who has described The War on Informed Consent as “an extraordinary and riveting dissection of Dr. Paul Thomas’s medical board lynching”.
