Why Medical Licensing Was Never Designed to Protect Patients
Most people think medical licensing exists to protect consumers from harmful practitioners. But that’s neither the effect nor the purpose of licensing.
I traded thoughts about this problem recently with Doc Malik on his podcast. In this episode, we explain why it’s not just that licensing can be weaponizedagainst physicians who dare to challenge medical orthodoxy—such weaponization is the very purpose of medical licensing.
Consequently, instead of advances being made in health care, we have stagnation—a persistence on remaining in an age of barbaric practices like coerced mass vaccination.
The simple reason why the medical system hasn’t produced a healthy population is because it isn’t designed to. Medical licensing is government enforcement of a medical cartel that masquerades as a “health care” system.
That cartel consists of government granting special privileges to corrupt medical trade organizations allied with the pharmaceutical industry.
Once you realize that the policy goal of the "public health" establishment is not a healthy population, it all starts to make sense.
I hope you find our conversation enlightening. Enjoy!

- The history of medical licensing and how it was created to establish a medical monopoly rather than protect patients.
- How licensing boards are weaponized to punish doctors who challenge official narratives or depart from “standard of care”.
- Why healthcare quality is harmed by government interference in our health, and we’d be better off with informed consumers and market competition.
- How pediatrician Dr. Paul Thomas lost his medical license for respecting parents’ right to make their own informed choices about childhood vaccinations—and in doing so producing a remarkably healthy population of unvaccinated patients.
- What informed consent means and why the exercise of this right in the United States is a logical impossibility.
- How, despite the AAP’s denials, pediatricians do have financial incentives to push vaccines on patients.
- How government legally protects the pharmaceutical industry from injury lawsuits while shifting the financial burden for injuries onto the taxpayers.
- Why the idea that we should “trust” the “public health” establishment is totally insane.
- How the state and its corporate partners cannot tolerate people publicly correcting official disinformation, so truth-tellers must be censored.
- How medical licensing has also thoroughly corrupted the practice of science itself.
- My personal experiences trying vainly to get help from doctors whose ignorance was matched only by their arrogance and condescension—and learning instead to just do my own research, self-diagnose, self-treat, and heal.
- Historical parallels between today's medical establishment and earlier efforts to control access to medical knowledge.
- How the practice of vaccination has become a religious belief system, with critics of public policy guilty of heresy against official dogma.
- Why the path forward to a civilized society requires a radical decentralization of power and acceptance of the personal responsibilities that go along with individual liberty.
