The US War in Afghanistan

The 9/11 attacks served as the pretext for the US "war on terrorism", which was a pretext for advancing the neocon foreign policy agenda.

After the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, the neocons in the Bush administration used 9/11 as a pretext to advance a pre-planned foreign policy agenda aimed at advancing US global hegemony. On October 7, 2001, the US launched “Operation Enduring Freedom”, resulting in a war that lasted for 20 years.

Here is a collection of articles I’ve written about the US involvement in Afghanistan and Pakistan in the so-called “war on terrorism”.

The Framework for Debate on Iran

As with Iraq, the issue is not about weapons of mass destruction or failed obligations under existing treaties, but about ensuring U.S. credibility in its pursuit of global hegemony.

The Reasons for Regime Change in Iraq

Many analysts argue that the 2003 US war for regime change in Iraq was waged for Israel, but its neocon architects viewed benefits for Israel as incidental.

The US has a long history of waging war on false pretexts.

Whoever Wins U.S. Election, Policy in ‘War on Terror’ Unlikely to Change

Both the Democratic and Republican U.S. presidential candidates have stated their intention to increase the military presence in Afghanistan should they win the election to become the country’s next Executive. As a recent article in the Washington Post observed, “The...

The Case of the Mystery Voters in Iran’s Election

One claim made by the opposition in Iran to the re-election of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in an attempt to paint the election as fraudulent is that there was an unusually high turnout, in some cases more than 100 percent, in many places across the country. Citing...

The American-Israeli War on Gaza

Americans have a moral obligation to speak out against the US government’s policy of supporting Israel’s crimes against the Palestinians.

9/11 Hijackers Not on Flight Manifests?

Many aspects of the official account of 9/11 are false, but so is the claim that no Arab names appeared on the flight manifests of the hijacked planes.

Hani Hanjour: Al Qaeda’s Top Gun

An examination of the documentary record reveals a clear pattern of willful deception on the part of the 9/11 Commission with regard to alleged hijacker Hani Hanjour in an apparent effort to manipulate the facts to suit the official theory.

The Simplicity of the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict

There is a general perception that the reason the Israeli-Palestinian conflict has continued for so long is because it is extremely complex. Nothing could be further from the truth.

U.S. Foreign Policy for Dummies

Look. It’s not that difficult, okay? Point one: Politicians don’t often say what they mean. Point two: Politicians don’t often mean what they say. As corollary of the first two points, point three: Policy is rightly judged by deeds, not words.

Jerusalem Is NOT ‘disputed’ Territory

It is a simple and uncontroversial point of fact that Israel has no legal claim to East Jerusalem, “occupied Palestinian territory” under international law.

Israel’s capture and redirecting of the flotilla to Israel was a further violation of international law, in addition to the initial attack and the blockade itself.
